Surfshark has announced significant discounts up to 87% off on its VPN plans for May 2026, including free trials and bonus months. This promotion makes premium online security more affordable, but details on the duration and specific plan limits are still emerging.
Surfshark has launched a promotional sale in May 2026, offering discounts of up to 87% on its VPN subscription plans, along with free trials and extra months for new users. This deal makes premium online privacy and security services more accessible, especially for users seeking affordable multi-device protection.
Currently, Surfshark’s promotion includes discounts on its 1-year and 2-year plans, with prices starting as low as $2 per month for the two-year plan. The most comprehensive offering, Surfshark One+, is now available at 81% off, costing $4 per month. All plans include unlimited device connections, ad blocking, double encryption, and other security features. Additionally, new users can access a 7-day free trial and a 30-day money-back guarantee, providing a risk-free opportunity to test the service.
Surfshark also offers special discounts for students—an extra 15% off on top of existing deals—by verifying student status through StudentBeans. The company’s referral program enables users to earn up to $38 or three free months by inviting friends, provided their referrals maintain active accounts for at least 31 days. The promotion is available globally, including in the US, where VPN usage is legal, according to Surfshark.
Why It Matters
This promotion significantly reduces the cost barrier for consumers seeking reliable VPN services, which are increasingly vital for online privacy, content access, and security. With the rising importance of digital security, the deal offers an opportunity for a broad audience—including students, families, and remote workers—to access advanced protection at an affordable price.
Moreover, the promotion underscores Surfshark’s competitive position in the VPN market, especially as streaming services like Netflix continue to block some VPN providers. The ability to access geo-restricted content while maintaining security makes this deal particularly attractive for users worldwide.
